Dutse, Jigawa State – Governor Malam Umar Namadi has returned to Jigawa State following an 18-day annual leave abroad, during which he performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia and engaged in discussions aimed at fostering the state’s development. His homecoming was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, as thousands of supporters lined the streets to welcome him back.

Upon his arrival at Aminu Kano International Airport, the governor expressed gratitude for the warm reception, attributing the turnout to the people’s unwavering support for his leadership. “It shows a sign of love and care, and I think that has strengthened my resolve to continue building and doing more for the people,” he said.

Governor Namadi emphasized his commitment to unity within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, urging party members to resist distractions and work collectively toward fulfilling the people’s mandate. “In APC, we have one party in Jigawa State, and I am committed to maintaining that unity. We must not allow ourselves to be distracted by those who seek to create confusion and instability,” he stated.

Despite being on leave, Governor Namadi disclosed that his time away was productive. He held virtual meetings with his team and explored investment opportunities in the Middle East. “Some of these investors are set to arrive in the state soon, particularly to invest in agriculture and a modern abattoir. These projects will significantly boost economic activities in Jigawa,” he revealed.

He reiterated his administration’s focus on transforming Jigawa State and fulfilling electoral promises, emphasizing the importance of peace, unity, and collaboration among the people. “Jigawa people are peace-loving individuals, and I urge everyone to continue being their brother’s keeper. Together, we can achieve greatness and ensure a brighter future for our state,” he said.
